“Seems to be the best place for beer in Sherringham. 3 taps and a fridge full of mostly cans. Free WiFi. Friendly service. They do food and coffee too.“

“Thank you to wheresthepath for adding this. As described it's in a small arcade on the main High Street. It's bijou in size but really well stocked with lots of local beers mostly. Really friendly and helpful service. It's well worth visiting.“

“This is a sister cafe cum bar to the place in Cromer, coming a little later in what used to be the Whistle Stop store. It's bigger and brasher than it's sibling, right where the trains terminate and the bus stops are. Outdoor seating in a sunny spot, it's quite spacey inside. 4 keg lines and a fridge full of canned beers. Straight in as the best bar in Sheringham, low bar though.“

Giddy Goat (Beer Store)
1 THE COURTYARD, STATION ROAD
“A new venture hidden down a small arcade at the top end of the high street, close to the station. It's quite spacious and modern-looking. Probably stocks about 60 beers from about 8 north Norfolk breweries, but nothing from further afield - I guess in a tourist town the demand is always going to be for local brews to take home as souvenirs. The beers are arranged with lighter-coloured beers at the top and dark beers at the bottom, and they're all pretty traditional - it seems craft beer hasn't reached this far out yet. However, I still managed to find a couple of brewers that were new to me. There are also some local ciders and spirits. The chap running it was enthusiastic and friendly, and it was a pleasant place to shop. There's definitely plenty of room for him to expand his beer range, and hopefully he'll do this if the business does well. So... definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, but maybe not worth going out of your way for. However, I have a strange love of this little town and will definitely return (this was my fourth holiday here, and it was nice to have a local beer shop this time!).“

“Large sea front pub which relies on the busy tourist trade. The cask choice was very limited and the keg was pretty euro fizz centric. Busy with huge food orders which is the vast core of their business. Not really a beer lovers pub.“

“Visited on a Sunday lunchtime when it was chocka with tourists eating roast dinners. The staff were working flat out but were keeping waits to a minimum and still finding the time to be polite and friendly so full credit to them. The roasts themselves were merely passable - I’m guessing they don’t have to try too hard with their enviable location overlooking the sea right where the high street meets it. If you’re lucky enough to get one of the bay window tables you’ve got a great view as long as the patio outside isn’t too busy. Despite being busy, it still felt friendly and welcome. Beer selection similar to when Fin visited - Wherry, two Wolf beers I’d not had before (different ones to on Fin’s visit), with the national guest this time being Moorhouse Black Cat Reserve. The ones I tried were in reasonable condition. Overall a pleasant place for a pint on the seafront.“

“We visited here on Friday 26th December 2014, after a great clifftop walk from Weybourne to Sheringham. This is great little two roomed pub, interestingly the lounge and the bar are totally separate, in fact to access one from the other you have to walk outside and enter through the respective door, you cannot even view each of them when sat in one or the other. We plumped for the lounge as some folk were playing pool in the bar and it is a relatively small bar. A pretty reasonable beer offering with two Wolf Beers (Timber and also Edith Cavell), one Elm Tree, one Woodfordes (but shock, horror not Wherry :-) ) a Crones cider and one other handpump (not on) made up the selection at this pub which in terms of real ale/cider, I understand sells only Norfolk beers and ciders. The lounge is long and narrow, simply furnished with plenty of tables. The landlady was a real character, great, she was chatty, polite, funny but really interesting and engaging, and totally on top of her game running the place you could tell that her daughter was heading that way also. A healthy mix of locals and visitors made sure it was well frequented. It was a nice atmosphere, we had a couple here, I’ve only been to one other pub in Sheringham today so cannot comment on all the pubs, however I think this would take some beating, we really enjoyed it here.“

“We visited here on Friday 26th December 2014 following a jolly pleasant walk along the coastal footpath from Weybourne. This pub was pretty much the first pub we ventured across and I have to say initially I wasn’t going to rate it, I will explain why. We walked in and yes the place was busy but the service was laughable with two staff behind the bar, one of whom was putting cutlery away in no great haste and the other was sorting out mini marshmallows to put on top of hot chocolate. All of this was happening whilst about 8-10 people were waiting to be served, we walked out. We came back here as the pub we wanted to visit (Windham Arms) didn’t open until 13:30 so we walked to the railway station to check on the steam train schedule back to Weybourne before reluctantly heading back here. This is a good sized corner pub that looks out to sea, clearly very popular with those eating (it was thronged with families) the bar was less busy this time and the same two staff appeared much more interested and served me quite speedily, I had a Wolf Edith Cavell and Loz had a Shiraz. I also ordered chips and these were delivered to the table just as I returned, crikey service was really picking up all of a sudden. Beer choice was two Wolf beers, a Wherry and a Bah Humbug, keg choice was the usual suspects with GK East Coast IPA also on offer. The pub is essentially one large L shaped room created by walls that have been knocked through. Really busy, a TV was on but no one was watching, a mix of families and couples in here. Ok“

“This is a 2 bar local with additional Restaurant. There is a good beer range with local micro’s to the fore. The place to be is in the outdoor seating area. Cask and Bottled beers are on sale from local Brewers. The food is excellent, particularly locally caught crab.“
