62 /100 ROCKINGHAM PARK, GRETTON BROOK ROAD
“On the norther edge of Corby after the planned housing finishes and gives way to later construction. Here you’ll find a few eateries amongst newer looking commercial units. This Wetherspoon occupies one of them and it is a large open plan room with a high ceiling. It’s been kitted out comfortably enough though and there’s plenty of parking in front of it, albeit not exclusively for this pub. It’s a family friendly place to drive to so expect plenty of people to be here to dine. There’s an attractive enough patio area at its rear despite the fact the main road is beyond this. There’s two row of ale pumps on the curving bar against the left wall after you walk in.“

64 /100 ELIZABETH STREET
“A new addition in 2014 to the town centre in what is a refurbishment of shop units that look out on to the road on the shopping areas eastern side. There was development going on next door as some of the ugly mid 20th century concrete buildings that exemplify this new town were being demolished. You wouldn’t miss the building this Wetherspoon is in if it also received the wrecking ball, but the design and decor inside is decent, fresh and appealing, with an attractive enoug (albeit IKEA-esque) fenced garden area at the rear with some seats extending down its side. The upper level is mainly the hotel rooms and I stayed comfortably here for two nights never hearing the pub below or anyone in the street outside at anytime during my stay.“
