“Only slightly off the beaten path. This is a working farm, with walking steaks and legs of lamb. The small brewhouse is on the ground floor of one of the old farm buildings, and one floor up there are touristy placards that explain the brewing process and the history of the farm; you can also buy bottles here. Next to that is a small bar and tasting area, and then a full restaurant. Four beers on offer, but no panels or flights. Staff happily gave me a small pour of each of the beers. All were OK, with the seasonal beer (from nettles) the most interesting. A bit touristy, but an OK stop.“

“Stumbled upon this small brewpub while exploring Hadrian’s wall. One side is a small shop selling their bottled beer and the other side a small pub with a few tables. Pleasant ales - didn’t try any food but looked and smelled nice. Glad I stopped by.“
