68 /100 Horse and Groom (Bar) LOWER HEYFORD ROAD Great little country pub on the outskirts of a tiny hamlet. The pub has traded on its quality for many years. Just carries a small range at any one time but they are generally in very good nick. It is tiny inside and the diners can take over, plus sometimes it is hard to get to the bar, but it really is worth a visit. |
72 /100 Horse and Groom (Bar) LOWER HEYFORD ROAD We visited here today (Monday 2nd May 2011) Cycled over from Merton, Oxon. Nice little pub that I’ve been to once or twice before but not for a few years. Beer selection small but nice choice, Salopian Shropshire Gold, Red Squirrel English IPA and Three Castles, (Pewsey?) Heritage were three that I noticed when walking in. Morris dancing provided (not by us!) but by Owlswick today and a jolly pleasant lunchtime was had. I understand that its got a decent food reputation as well. Been again a couple of more times lately btw the food is indeed very, very good. Cycled here yesterday Sunday 1st July 2012 via Kidlington, Woodstock, Westcote Barton and Heyford. Really enjiyed the two beers that I’ve had this pub becoming a local favourite of mine score altered northwards. |
