64 /100 MILL LANE, OLD MARSTON
“Usually visit here once or twice a year, our last visit was last night Wednesday 4th July 2012 morris dancing with Armaleggan. This place is a cracker in the summer if you hire a punt or rowing boat from the Cherwell Boathouse and gently make your way this far up the Cherwell. It’s got an emphasis on food but to be fair it is at the end of a lane close by the river and clearly they are probably reliant on food sales as beer alone would likely struggle to keep this pub going. The beer choice is Wadworths but there is a decent selection and a good range of bottled beers when we got there last night with all of the new ’Beer Kitchen’ range also available. A bit of a trek from town but there are buses that run very close. Service can be very slow on occasions especially when busy, but they are pleasant and do their best.“
