We visited here on Saturday 25th October 2014, we were camping on the other side of the bridge. This was a day when the weather was unseasonably good, a really lovely day, We had walked the town going in the Fullers pub by the park (not great) and re-visiting the Crosse Keys which was a shadow of its former self. We also visited the Old Post Office but very limited and poor beer choice saw us beat a hasty retreat. This place however was in the GBG and had four H/P incl: West Berks, Box Steam, White Horse and another I forget. It is situated close to the bridge so Crowmarsh Gifford side of town, end of terrace and opposite another pub called the Bridge Inn. It is quite a traditional two room layout the way the pub is situated means you enter from the corner the bar is diagonally opposite (straight ahead). I had West Berks Good Ol’ Boy and whilst not my favourite beer it was in excellent nick. The landlord/barman was very friendly and there was some pleasant banter going back and forth between locals. It is well worth a visit, the only real negative for me was Sky Sports and a TV that looked like it was always on.“

“Nice little pub that I try to get to every time I’m in Wallingford. Its a short walk from the town centre and gets busy on weekends. I’ve been here on a Sunday lunchtime before and it was heaving with the local folk musicians in one area and others watching the Grand Prix, this time (Saturday 15th 2007) I went in the evening it was rammed with drinkers and had a great atmosphere, good beer, nice friendly little pub.“
