“We visited here (3rd pub) of the Welland Valley Beer Festival tour June 11th 2011. A very pretty pub in a very pretty village in a very pretty county, ok thats enough pretties for now. Strange rating this because much like the ast one I saw very little of the inside it was so pleasant outside and another impressive range of beers (there must have been 20-25 beers, perries & ciders) meant that outside was the place to be. However I rate on well the beer is kept and to be fair it was in good nick despite the trials and tribulations of trying to keep beer outside under canvas (or plastic covering) when its quite warm. I had a new one from Thornbridge called Sequoia, nothing wrong with it at all, it was in good nick but by Thornbridge standards it came across as a rather reserved brown premium bitter, enjoyable maybe but lacking a hoppy bite. Would definately seek this place out again, just hope that the normal range isn’t too much GK or similar.“
