62 /100 Plough Inn (Bar) THE PLOUGH INN This pub is about 3 miles from my house, but I rarely visit. Small, rural place with a dining room and single bar. A bit foodie and very 'clicky' at the bar with locals usually blocking your way to the actual bar preventing visitors from seeing what's on offer on the pumps, really annoys me! Beer quality has never been a problem, getting to the bar can be. As the Wingman says, usually three of the four cask lines in use with both local and better known nationals on offer. Foods good, but restaurant prices. Staff always been fine, it's just those pesky regulars that stand or sit at the bar that ruin it for me. |
58 /100 Plough Inn (Bar) THE PLOUGH INN Visited on Sunday 12th June 2016. Country pub about 10-15 mins drive from Wellington. Has several rooms that are well decorated although the venue is a little lacking in light.
4 handpulls on the bar, only 3 beers on when we visited. Tried 2 of them and both were well kept and prices were OK. Main visit was for Sunday lunch which was excellent.
Staff were really friendly too and were trying really hard to help. Not really a beer pub but worth nothing for the database. |
