74 /100 White Hart, Ellesmere (Bar) BIRCH ROAD 17th century pub in the centre of Ellesmere, with lovely timber frame. On entering you have the option of two rooms, to the left is the main bar with pump line-up - 3 Shropshire real ales, and a new Salopian on my visit so I expect they change frequently. A dog was relaxing with its owner, on his dedicated dog bed and water bowl. The right-hand room seemed to be a little quieter, with large stuffed stag head above what used to be a fireplace. Lots of exposed timber frames inside. Some benches out the front. Nice old pub with friendly local feel. |
