“This review has been written during the virus 'Lock In', surprised I had never reviewed this place, been many times and just assumed I had. Lovely rural pub by a stream, close to a Youth Hostel and country paths for ramblers. Used to be one of the few places in Shropshire that sold cask Adnams from Southwold. It has since been sold to the Three Tuns brewery and refurbished. Still has it's large stone floor and lost none of it's former self. Beer quality is always good, with at least three cask ales, the rickety outside furniture always a challenge to sit on, staff and customers all fine.“

“Have visited here a few times now. It’s a lovely secluded little pub in the South Shropshire hills owned by Three Tuns, and there’s usually around 5-6 of their beers on handpull. It also doubles as the ’Horseshoe Inn’ which is more prominent on the sign. On a summer’s day there really is nothing better than relaxing on the picnic tables outside with the dog playing in the stream. There’s a nice hour-long circular walk to the South of the pub that we usually do beforehand, and a decent village pub in Wentnor in the middle to break it up. But if you’re up for it, there’s a well-signposted 3 hour walk taking in the area North of the pub. Both provide equally breathtaking views of the rolling Shropshire hills. This is also the spot for the annual Sineater festival in June, and the beer which Three Tuns produces for it is also very good. Food is home-cooked, very good and well-priced“

“Visited for Sunday lunch on a nice sunny September afternoon. It’s a trek over the Long Mynd from Church Stretton which is a spectacular drive. The pub is next to a river with a bridge over it. Lovely spot. At least 2 rooms with Sunday lunch having won awards in the last couple of years. 6 handpulls all with local Three Tuns beers, all in good nick that I tried. Prices were good, food was good if a little slow. It’s a really nice spot for lunch and a long walk to exercise lunch and beer off. Recommended.“
