Visited twice. Good selection for Sweden, including 2-3 British cask ales. Some good stuff from Swedish micro breweries too.Their specially brewed Järntorgets Arbetarporter (from Oceanbryggeriet) is worth the journey alone! Friendly staff, good outdoor seating area. Visited with Gnoff.
Nice atmosphere that feels very British with an old Victorian style, many great beers on tap (many local ones) and friendly service.
They have a lot of rarities that don’t go to the US market or even outside of Sweden.
It’s Sweden, and yes, once again beers are damn expensive.

Seemed to end up as a favorite pub on my last stay in Gothenburg. At least the one I returned to most frequently. That might have to do with the central location and the fine outdoor seating. Very friendly staff, even got a tour of their cellar. Nice toilet conditions, even though it might be few of them on a crowded night. Currently the latest of the Bishop Arms in Gothenburg. They have a quite popular quiz on Mondays, hosted by an English speaking quiz master. The beer selection is not bad at all but it tends to be a bit expensive. The food is standard pub fare, such as hamburgers. Years ago this place was known as Gillestugan. |
