5 reviews for Hook Norton Brewery Visitor Centre and Pear Tree Inn
| doubelknv3 (22), Illinois | | February 12, 2007 Really enjoyed the Hook Norton Brewery and bought myself a box of Old Hooky to consume during my longboat journey over my 30th B-Day. Pear Tree Inn is a nice local. Nice seating outside. Did not have a meal there, so not sure how the food is. | | hughie (21), Bedford, England | | August 12, 2005 [ Updated August 19, 2006 ] We were taken on the tour by Nancy, whose family had lived in the village for generations and who was very knowlegeable about brewing. The Brewery was a place of sensory delights, full of atmosphere and history. Five beers on tap to try afterwards and a free Hook Norton glass. Plenty of bottled beers to buy as well.
19.8.06 Visited the Pear Tree Inn and enjoyed an excellent meal and pint of Haymaker, thus completing my Hook Norton experience.. | Liberty (5), Stompwijk, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | August 13, 2004 I have visited the visitor centre and the museum. Nice visit (not very big) and especially to watch the film about the brewery. I didn’t have the time for a brewery visit, but I am planning to come back again to go on a brewery tour. The samples were great. I can recommend a visit to Hook Norton and their beers. | | Joeh (49), , England | | June 8, 2004 [ Updated November 5, 2005 ] Attractive brewery. Interesting museum area. Lots of items on sale. | | imdownthepub (85), Banbury, England | | May 16, 2004 This rating is for the Pear Tree Inn, a great village local serving the full range of Hook Norton beers on tap, so close to the Brewery you can smell the wort. Supplied by the Breweries working Shire Horses and Dray this is a perfect example of how a village pub should be. The Summer Beer Festival is a great favourite for those who know. |
