| 1FastSTi (90), Glendale, Wisconsin | | June 10, 2008 Sat outside in the disconnected bar back near the railroad tracks. The bar has water misting fans running to beat the heat. Sampled the beer pretzel, which, by the way was amazing with the cheese sauce. But, that’s all we ate there. Chatted it up a little with some locals. A nice relaxing place. | | markwise (57), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida | | June 2, 2008 Visited on a brew tour this weekend. My friends and I sat inside at the bar as they opened. The service was very good, some of the beers were great, and it was right next to the theater. The food was ok, and the hummus was about average. I was disappointed that they have a Maudite tap handle, but they have not had Muadite in a month or so (bartender says). The cask beer was ok, their beer was respectable, and I would come back here again. | gonzo46and2 (7), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | May 18, 2008 Second visit today with a group of small friends. First visit since the move. Now in a much nicer and larger location. Great food, lighting, decor(could use more TVs), and the beer was phenominal. Got a sampler with 9 beers for 13.50. Not bad at all. Dissapointed that they didn’t have any casked this time... I’ll be back. | | sebletitje (78), Tampa, Florida | | May 11, 2008 [ Updated April 26, 2009 ] Rerating this place 4/26/2009.
Since the economy has been slowing and TBBC has changed their kitchen staff, the food literally sucks. Every portions have been smaller and of lower quality. The prices of course have not changed, for less you still pay the same.
Right now, only the beer keeps me going back there as well as some of the friendly staff.
This is pushing me to not renew my mug club membership. They also never keep you up to date with any of the advantage that the mug club is supposed to offer as well as I have never seen any discounts as promised in their renewal letter. Sad, because I really love the place and the people there. | | kiefdog (103), Tampa, Florida | | May 4, 2008 Visited TBB in March 2008 on a Saturday afternoon. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and the food selection was very good. Beer selection was limited beyond the TBB beers, and most of those were nothing to write home about. Overall, if you are looking for a brewpub atmosphere in the Ybor area, this one won’t disappoint too much. Most of the waitstaff didn’t really seem to know beer beyond what they are trained to say about their own. | | MtStateBeer (21), Hurricane, West Virginia | | April 27, 2008 Very good start to a nice evening in Ybor. I couldn’t decide on which beer to start with, so I tried the sampler. Total of 10 beers, two were cask, the Iron Rat was my favorite. Had a burger, it was good. Our waiter was excellent, great advice on the beers. | chief65 (3), Alabama does not count - explanation | | March 28, 2008 Burgers were the best I ever had. There were 7 their own brews on tap, including a barleywine, plus some guest beers. Porter was good, but did not care for Stout. Was disappointed cask ale only available Thursday night, while it lasts. Ybor city nice area to visit - Columbia restaurant two blocks away definitely worth a visit. | | BBB63 (98), La Porte , Indiana | | March 16, 2008 Wide selection of beer styles, some good and some not so good. The food offerings are better than average. The rain kept me from enjoying the outside bar area. Parking could be an issue, still would be worth your time. | johnbartyczak (1), Wesley Chapel, Florida does not count - explanation | | March 13, 2008 Wow am I glad I found this place! I am new to the area and LOVE good beer and brewpubs and this place makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over. I was told to watch out for Ybor City but found it to be a great place to come and with the valet right outside the door of the restaurant it couldnt have been any easier. I knew I was going to enjoy the evening when my server started explaining the beer selection ( and boy what a selection ) when I asked if there were other choices my server smiled and said they had a few guest beers but that theirs was all I needed because they were so good (and he wasn’t wrong). I had a fantastic pizza after enjoying my cheese and ale dip, meet some very nice regulars and look forward to hanging out at the pub alot in the future. | Hopdup (5), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | March 2, 2008 I’m still a little miffed that they moved it to the more commercial location, but their microbrews are still of high quality. Their food seems to have gotten better since the move, the Calzone’s are incredible. I recommend sitting at the bar to get the highest beer service. It is walking distance from the trolley, parking garage, movie theater, and Game Works. The best place to go if in Ybor City or Channelside (take the trolley). the guest beers are also of the highest quality, such as having Maudite on tap. |
