75 reviews for Tampa Bay Brewing Company
| TomDecapolis (69), Skippack, Pennsylvania | | February 24, 2008 Located in a nice/hip area of Tampa. They had 7 regular beers on tap as well as an ESB on cask. 7 guest taps as well (Sierra Nevada, Hoegarten, Maudite, etc). They make their own root beer. Standard brew pub feel with a nice outdoor seating area. The menu was what you would expect from a brew pub (sandwiches, burgers, pizza and some entrees). Sampler glasses seemed to be about 3 oz. Average to just above average beer. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich I got was excellent. | | hophead75 (83), Boonton, New Jersey | | January 13, 2008 A nice brewpub in Centro Ybor, which is one of those indoor/outdoor shopping malls designed to pull the tourists in- which it does rather well, like similar development projects in other cities. Anyway, they have an outdoor bar to complement the main brewpub inside, which is a nice touch. Service was very good- female bartender was knowledgable about beer as well as friendly and attentive. They had a total of 10 beers on tap when I was there- 8 regulars including an IPA, Impy Stout, and Barleywine, which isn’t common among brewpubs. More importantly, all the beer I tried was clean, and were good representations of their style, with a few being excellent. Food was also very good. If I lived in the Tampa area I know I would be here quite a bit. Agree with the guides rating of essential- you won’t find a better brewpub in this area. | | chef201atc (17), Weatherford, Texas | | January 4, 2008 Nice brewpub setting. Food was just awesome - we had a burger and a calzone, both of which were great. There were about eight of their own beers on tap plus about six others. We tried a few of their own brews, which were all pretty solid. | | DragonStout (73), Pataskala, Ohio | | December 9, 2007 The best brewpub in Florida hands down. They never seem to dissapoint me.the beers are great, the food is excellent, which alot are made with hteir beer, and their staff is great also. | | Floridared (10), Largo, Florida | | December 2, 2007 The beer is up there, always have a good selection, and the food great too. I found the Pub about 6 years ago, so fondly remember the original brewery on 15th. The new place lacks a bit of charactor, but hey, that’s only my opinion. Always give it a visit when I’m in Ybor. | | fishingnet (11), Brandon, Florida | | November 18, 2007 Great atmosphere, very knowledgeable staff, great beer, and great food. You cant go wrong with the shepherds pie, there is beer on cask every Thursday until it runs out, and they make the best stouts and porters in Florida. | | BigMilly8 (22), Holiday, Florida | | November 10, 2007 Great place to go on the weekend for some good brew. Love the Elephant foot IPA, and food is good as well. Very nice staff, and close to all the other fun to be had in Ybor. | jbird73 (3), orlando, Florida does not count - explanation | | October 11, 2007 great place to spend some time i personally like the outside bar they have their own brews available there good selection good atmosphere | moonshinemama (2), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | August 11, 2007 great outdoor scene; food is really good and beer is great. | | mgumby10 (47), Jupiter, Florida | | July 29, 2007 Had heard alot about this place, but this was my first time in. Very cool atmosphere being in the heart of Ybor City, if you can get past the dirt. I tried the sampler and sampled about 9 of their beers. I came away very impressed, as all were decent, and some I thought were very good. The porter and wheat being my favorites. The food also was quite good, and the service was adequate. I would definitely go back. I also smoked boboski in pool 2 games in a row. Pool was free, which was another plus! |
