Visited November 2002: Unbelievable selection of very good beers, outstanding food, and friendly atmosphere and service!

I have been brewing for 22years and always am at a loss to find a good pub...especially in florida... .i had a hard day at work and what a joy to find a real brewpub...and they even knew what cask beer was!!!. I drank my fill of Old Elephant foot IPA it really knocked my socks off (i love a very highly hopped ipa...over 100IBUs they claim). I also had the Iron Rat Stout...very smooth and had the alcohol to go with it. The Barley wine was a bit sweet...but also had a great malty flavor. The food portions were very large and i could not eat all the food....i had a steak Staff was very friendly and David the brewer recommeded a great place to get some cigars down the Street....and even bought me a couple of pints. Very good location to start your Ybor City night....right in the middle of everything. to the purists...some of the beers were a bit out of style but...hey who is complaining they were very good.

Nice brewpub in the middle of Ybor. Everything- food, beer, service- is always at least good. Stop in most of the time I’m in the area.

Yes, the place is dark, but it’s great. About 8 to 10 of their own beer was on tap along with about 8 other beers on tap, and none of those were bud or miller. The burger was great, the server was great and the root beer was to die for. A great gem hidden in Ybor City.

Had a very nice lunch here on vacation after hitting up the aquarium. Lunch was calm and almost empty, so the attractive server gave us pleanty of attention. Beer was top notch, and the food was just as nice. The whole feel of the place seemed to be dark, it wasnt too well lit, and all the wood in the place was dark or stained that way, but kept clean, not a shady place at all.

This place has switched loctions the old place was far more cozier and casual, the new place is more fine dining with a lot more booths and tables to sit. There’s no more upstairs which when opened was nice. But you can’t complain about everything being new and clean. The menu has a few new things on it and the food is excellent, they also seem to have a whole new staff. Located in Centro Ybor the hot spot of Ybor City. It’s nice that they’ve got all new stuff but the old place was much more cozier to me. Still working on getting more beers up also.

My favorite brew pub on the trip. Can’t believe the size of the sampler - 9 beers and 1 root beer. Average to above average beer. Will deffinitely seek this place out again if I’m the area.

Decent brewpub with good mix of beers on tap at any time. The beers won’t knock your socks off, but they’re not bad, and this is probably the best brewpub in the area, if not the entire state.

Crack staff that is knowledgeable and polite, but with the proper amount of snootiness toward beer. Great food. Great atmosphere and even some great beers. The Jack the Quaffer Porter is one of my favorite beers anywhere.

Rerate 1/06: The beer here has really improved. It has become my second favorite place to get a brew on tap in Tampa....second to New World. The service can really suck at times...depends on who is behind the bar and the food is OK.
