mickeykaline (3), , Alabama does not count - explanation | | July 7, 2008 Excellent all around brew pub | | MoDog (23), Griffith, Indiana | | July 2, 2008 Nice atmosphere. Better than average food, average to good beer. Nothing amazing. Service was ok. Seemed a bit understaffed for the lunch rush. When the crowd thinned, they were very helpful and attentive. I would visit again. | kieleszd (8), Grand Rapids , Michigan does not count - explanation | | April 7, 2008 Great food, music, beer and visuals. What more can you ask for. Oh yea Lake Michigan is a baseball park away. New Holland has plywood cubicles to dine and drink exclusively in your booth. Or join the party and sing and dance to this sublime selection of artists. Eat a brew pizza with barley crust. A little crunchy but after a night tripper you have no pain. | | bigtaster (24), Grand Rapids, | | March 10, 2008 Been to New Holland a few times, food was good. Is usually pretty busy so service has been ok but not great. All the beer I’ve tried has been great. Fun place to be with a mixed crowd, but a bit pricey for me. | | Hudspart (21), Hudsonville, Michigan | | March 9, 2008 Pretty good restaurant. Food was very good (if a little expensive). Nine beers on tap (four regulars, four high gravity and one seasonal). Non-smoking and plenty of room. | jeffwilliams11 (6), hooterville, Michigan does not count - explanation | | January 8, 2008 one of my favorite places...great beer, fantastic food, good service, nice atmosphere... | | lampeno420 (11), Zeeland, Michigan | | January 8, 2008 [ Updated January 27, 2009 ] Has sort of a college bar vibe, since its across the street from one. My selection was pretty good, most mainstays, a couple specialty and high gravs with a hand pump Mad Hatter. Pretty large selection of souvenirs and i love the shelves with all the glasses for the regulars. Good food both times ive been in there, just a little pricey. And this last time we saw a guy come in just for his takeout order of food and a six of Hatter, which you can find anywhere in town. | migkix (2), Evanston, Illinois does not count - explanation | | October 21, 2007 The brew pub has a nice small town feel. It is located near a college university. The place has live music with a really great bar crowd for people of all ages. The place is very clean with two levels. I think this was a non smoking place. Raspberry Cider, Dragons Milk and Mad Hatter I recommend. | | Dansting (114), Overland Park, Kansas | | August 1, 2007 Visited on a Friday night. A very big and nice looking place. There was a couple of bar areas, an outside place for people, a lounging area with couches, a game room, and what appeared to be a loft. This appeared to be a trendy place to go to. The service for me just consisted of me heading up to the bartender, but they were prompt and polite. Their regular beers were good, but their high gravity beers were really, really amazing. I was impressed. The bar crowd seemed fun, and out group had a good time. I hope to head back there soon. | | nflmvp (33), Fox Valley, Wisconsin | | July 31, 2007 The atmosphere was very comfortable. The place has high, tin ceilings and was nicely decorated. I felt like I was walking into someplace familar.
The quality of the beers was very good. Sadly, thinking I wasn’t going to make it there, I had already eaten and I didn’t get to try their food (which I had heard was outstanding).
The service was outstanding. Each and every bartender who served me was very attentive and took time to chat.
The selection of their beers was very nice with all of the bottled varieties represented as well as a couple of brewery-only offerings.
This is a place I would love to return to and hope I am in the area again so I can give it another try.
I very much enjoyed this experience.
