3 reviews for Cellar Homebrew
| SuzyGreenberg (25), Seattle, Washington | | September 21, 2009 Great homebrew shop for the Seattle locals, especially for the equipment selection; more often I choose Bob’s for ingredients/grains, but Cellar certainly has more hops; lots of wine equipment too; very knowledgeable staff and special ordering available; as with other shops, prices sometimes seem steep on certain items | | Scubatrip (27), Winston-Salem, North Carolina | | November 19, 2007 I’d say the inside of the store looks exactly like a homebrew shop should: like somebody’s basement (hence the name, probably). Not a huge place, but they have everything you need for brewing. Pretty decent selection of at least a dozen different grains (malt), all sold by the pound (no pre-packaged stuff). They also have six or so types of malt extract available by the pound, as well as a selection of canned extracts. I only saw Wyest, but there was quite a selection of yeast strains and a decent selection of hops, both in pellet and whole variety. Very helpful staff that helped set up a friend to start homebrewing, and i was pretty happy with the prices, though I can’t compare to other stores in the area. | | after4ever (126), Brier, Washington | | August 4, 2006 Kind, helpful, knowledgable staff and a decent inventory. Really solid prices. This is essentially my home store, which will only change if I move (which I’m doing soon, but I may still drive here for the prices). |
