The first time I went to this place, I really liked it. The owner/operator was friendly and we chatted about a lot of different things. He helped the customers that came in and kept up a conversation with me. The prices do seem a little high, but the diversity of equipment is good and it’s worthy paying a little extra to support a local enterprise. Quite a diversity of malts and hops. They have a cooperative brew setup going, where you can join, go and brew on a particular day, and then get a portion of the finished product. The owner has even talked about becoming a licensed microbrewery. I had an Abbey Dubbel on tap and thought it was very good.

Kind of small which is typical of homebrew supply shops. Their prices seemed average. Their selection was pretty average and some of their supplies seemed a bit old. I was pretty much ignored when there despite being the only person in the store.

Decent selection for homebrewers, though sometimes I wonder about freshness of the less common malts. The main problem with this place is the owner/operator, who is not the nicest guy in the world. He’s criticized me for buying liquid yeast, as if I’m wasting my $. Not only is this unhelpful, it’s bad business. He always seems annoyed when filling grain and malt orders too. Now I do mail order...
