| jake65 (57), Williston, North Dakota | | April 23, 2006 [ Updated March 26, 2009 ] Nice selection of hamburgers, as well as other entrees. Brew selection was 8-9 on tap, with regular and seasonal selections and brewer’s whim. Server knew the scoop on everything and offered samples before ordering. This has become one of my preferred pubs in the Boise area. Additional note after coming here for three years: I have really come to enjoy the rotating taps here. A few are always on, but there is a larger group of core brews that come and go. The pub food continues to be tasty and happy hour is nice at $2/pint. | | oldrtybastrd (24), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana | | March 15, 2006 8-9 house beers on tap, all of them excellent. Love the Purple Haze. | | IndianaRed (14), Boise, Idaho | | August 6, 2005 Nice brewpub with a good selection of beers made on site. Bar area was very smokey but regular side was nice and the burger I had was excellent. Service was very good as well. Tried the sampler which they didnt charge me for and went with the 2IPA with dinner. late night specials on the bar menu make this place even better. | | ¾ (606), Boulder, Colorado | | August 16, 2004 Small spot on a regular suburban/commercial street. Small bar area though pretty good beer and friendly staff. | | ontario102 (11), Boise, Idaho | | July 25, 2004 These guys know how to brew. Some of thier food is hit and miss, but generally good. The bar area is a little small. This is certainly one of the local pubs you must go to if in town. | | Sham (43), Seattle, Washington | | June 11, 2004 This is probably one of the better brewpubs in the area. Their food is damn good. I like it... a lot. They have a good line up of beers. Their IPA is awesome. Their porter is up there as well. They have a new stout that was the brewers whim that was pretty damn good. The staff is always friendly. Sometimes not the most knowledgeable but that’s ok. I can talk to the brewmaster if need be, or make Jordo do it. | | BückDich (215), McCall, Idaho | | January 3, 2004 [ Updated January 5, 2004 ] This place is located in a nice part of town in an attractive building. It is just a couple miles from the mall. The inside is very clean, tastefully furnished and 1st class. The pub has an old English style bar with all-wood tables and barstools. The pub can get smoky at times, but isn't as bothersome as it is in some places. They have a nice patio in the summer that is great for some interesting late night conversations.
The service is top notch; nothing is compromised here.
Their beers are the best in Boise, hands down. Their Dagger Falls IPA is award winning and my personal favorite beer in Boise. It is crisp and very hoppy with a never-ending balance with a toasted malt background. Don't miss this one (I’m just hopping the brewmaster doesn't make this one nitrous charged like he's planning). Their other beers are daring and modern. They have everything from light lagers to steep barleywines. Their brewmaster is always busy with new experiments, always a couple new beers around the corner.
The food is excellent as expected. If choosing from any brewpub in town for a meal and a pint, I'd go here 4 out of 5 times (Tablerock the other 1).
If you're in Boise, don't miss this place; I regard it as the best in Boise. Cheers! |
