July 26, 2007 I used to go here when I was single and drank liquor only...I’d buy one drink, snob all the bitches and golddiggers who thought they were fine, and step right the fuck out....P.S.~ Their pool tables and cues are low quality...unacceptable to a real player. |

June 29, 2007 Nice looking place. Food was really good, and the beers are also quality. The service was crappy the times I’d gone there, but everything else was fine. A little more expensive than I’d like, but since this is the only place in Chattanooga, what are you gonna do? At least it’s good stuff. |

June 15, 2006 Stopped in here for Noogfest and also the next day for lunch. Service is ok, food is pubgrub, and ambiance is giant chain brewpub. Regualr beers are what you’d expect from a corporate chain, and nothing too special about their seasonals either. |

January 28, 2006 For the first time I went into the bar section where the pool tables are located. Was fortunate enough to get here before it was really crowded. The sweet smell of lite cigar smoke filled the room the lighting was good enough to see well but low enough to lend to the comfort. There was music playing loud enough to hear but not too loud to talk above. There was a good mix of families ,couples and groups of singles. The beer selection was not huge but good. My only problem with the selection was no porter on tap (my favorite now). Each brew I had was good but not great. I know the Iron Horse Stout is an award winner but I personally liked the House IPA just a little better. Overall good well rounded establisment. Food was good as was service and beer. |

January 17, 2006 I stopped here for a little bit on the way to Atlanta. We were in early in the day and we were the only two people at the bar which would lead me to believe that we’d get adequate service, but we didn’t.I did not get to try the food since I just finished off a large Cheeburger from across the street. The service could’ve been a fluke, I’m sure i’ll stop in the next time I’m in Chattanooga. They had a decent enough selection of brews and the place was very clean and professional, but not really anything super interesting going on. |

September 2, 2005 Visit to Chattanooga for HOG National Rally. Second time I have been to Big River. Good location in downtown with parking and other attractions. Large bar and restuarant and was clean and service was fast and responsive for a busy crowd due to rally. Beer selection is corporate with seasonal brews. Sampler of brews was good with a printed serving sheet. Food was good and was above average for pub food. Well worth a visit. |

June 23, 2005 A nice brewpub with good food and decent beer. Service was good too. It kinda sucks that they aren’t allowed to brew anything over 6% abv, otherwise, they’d probably have a few bigger beers around. |

June 21, 2005 Noogfest 05- Very tasty pubgrub, a decent brew selection, clean. The best part was the service, our servers were class acts. They even tasted a few with us! |

June 20, 2005 Noogfest 05 - The staff was mostly friendly and handled a large, occasionally rowdy crew really well - I thought it was kinda cool that by the end of the evening our waiter and waitress were sampling some of the beers with us. Food was a notch above standard pub food and the beer I had was well made, if not particularly adventurous. |
