Milwaukee, a city that could at one time make the claim as “Beer City USA” due to the fact that more barrels were produced here than anywhere else. Those days are long gone, as the Blatz, Schlitz and Pabst breweries were the last to either be bought out or closed. Only Miller has survived from the past and they make only a few beers (Leinenkugels) that a “ratebeer” aficionado would enjoy. What is left is a population rich in beer knowledge and a thirst for something better than what is produced by the “big three” of brewing. It is my hope that by visiting the places that I have reviewed you can take home a little piece of “Americana”. You will find that the people here will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We call it “Midwestern Charm”. Feel free to drop me a message if you are visiting, as I would be more than happy to take you to the various tour stops.
