English: Amager Rye Porter is the result of fruitful cooperation between the best of Danish and American brewing cultures. It’s base is made of hard roasted malts and 16% rye. It adds a fantastic sweetness, and a titillating spicy edge, which, combined with a subtle and balanced acidity, is reminiscent of rye bread. This is not a beer for the weak, we’re pleased with the outcome and hope you will be too

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2020 Bottle from Food Mart 2400 in Austin, TX. Dusty old bottle. Aroma is chocolate, licorice, faint tobacco. Taste is soft chocolate, tangy dark rye bread, burnt caramel, licorice. One of the best porters out there. Not sure I'll ever find again.

Bottle. Dark brown. I really prefer British and American to Belgian but this was not bad. Roasted and dark it had decent flavour.

On tap at Craft Room, late summer 2017. Dark brown, small to a moderate off-white head. Strong aroma of dried fruits like prunes and figs, along with caramel and brown sugar balanced with a roasty chocolate touch. Sweet and alcoholic, chocolate present. Medium to full body, creamy, moderately lasting roasty finish. Very good!

[Kran] Wygląd: Bardzo ciemny brąz, niska piana. Aromat: Uderzenie czekolady, zarówno mlecznej jak i gorzkiej, palonośc, lekka kawa, praliny. Smak: Gęsty, bardzo słodki, nisko wysycony. Super.

Tap at Craft Room. Pitch black, brown head. Full aroma, heavy malt, marzipan and raisins, chocolate chip cookies aaaand alcohol. Lotsa. Soft body, silky and creamy. Fantastic mouthfeel. Spicy rye touches, chocolate... But vague. Flat tea notes in the finish. World. Class in some aspects, slightly disappointing in others. Fantastic and okay at the same time. Love to have tried it.
