Pours a murky amber with no head. Light sweet malt and vanilla aroma. Dull quad flavor with light vanilla notes. Notes: bottle brought back from my time in Belgium (‘09-‘11), opened Jul ‘18

14Mar2018 Sweet citrus fruits, juicy yuzu, mandarines, sweet, grain malts, molasses, some mango, other tropical flavours. Hazy amber, brown, hardly any head. Medium sweet. More overripe mango, tropical fruits, bit of brandy, sweet apple, calvados, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Very nice aroma, aged very well. Bottle shared during AB:1 - AB:25 vertical tasting at BrewDog Shepherds Bush - thanks to madmitch76 and Leighton!

Lonick (2711) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 2, 2017
Bottle @Craig’s (Abstrakt tasting). Pours dark amber, almost sherry in colour. Nose is raisins, fruits, some sherry, slight petrol on the nose as well. Very little taste, needed some carb which had all gone, slightly odd nail polish remover taste to it.

Flasla bishops, folkungagatan Stockholm. Efterrecenserad. Ljus bärnstensfärgad vätska. Doft av fat, vanilj och lite druva. Ganska frän och något spritig smak. Cognac och torr fatkaraktär med vaniljig avslutning

Theydon_Bois (40415) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JAN 25, 2015
Bottle shared at the Commons, from a lucky dip on reluctant scoopers charity draw, 09/11/14 #1847/3200. Hazed orange amber with moderate off white spotting and edgeing. Nose is dark fruit rinds, dates, earthy, woody, bitter citric notes. Taste comprises mellow fruits, dark toffee, vanilla, spice, raisens, prunes. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light alcohol. Ok quad, fairly mellow and easy drinking but no game changer. Perhaps hasn’t aged well ? Not bad - just nothing too exciting.
