hayduke (6098) - Ferndale, California, USA - JAN 26, 2019
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2019 Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours a cloudy gold orange with a white head. Nose is tropical and stone fruit. Medium body. Resinous mouthfeel. Flavor of grapefruit rind which makes this quite bitter and almost overwhelms the tropical and stone fruit. Finishes with a lot of bitterness and pine appear. Decent enough IPA and if they had dialed the bitterness back a hair would be really good.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2019 12 oz. bottle form hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Clear (until the sediment on the final pour) honey golden. A one finger of off white foam. Aroma is tropical fruit and grapefruit. This is bitter stuff. Grapefruit rinds. Also stone fruit and mangoes. Mid glass a big malt base jumps out. It is Pislner-ish and manages to get past those big grapefruit notes. I think this is exactly what the brewers wanted it to be.

17/II/18 - on tap @ Zeezicht (Breda) - BB: n/a (2018-178)

Clear blond beer, small creamy dense yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of tropical fruits, lovely stuff, mango, bit malty, sweet ripe peaches. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter and resinous from the start, very hoppy, lots of grapefruit, some pineapple, bit sweet, very bitter. Aftertaste: some citrus, bitter, resinous, bit grassy, grapefruit, dry finish, more fruit, good stuff!

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2018 Ljust gul, lite dimmig. Doft mycket citrus, mest citron.
