Pours black, or a very dark brown, cream on the pour with a finger of a tant head with high retention and laces. Moderate roasty-bitterness, some brown sugar moderate sweetness in balance, dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Balanced and very smooth. Creamy, full bodied, thick, low carbonation, boozy. Ah the old fashion ET stouts, this was a great brew and still is in this revamp.

KevinReddirt (1807) - Midland, Texas, USA - AUG 10, 2022UPDATED: AUG 10, 2022 I have a pint can now known as Soft DK, pkgd on 11/11/21 and acquired from Half Time. The label has changed but the abv remains the same. I’ve pulled out my Cowtown tulip glass, pulled the tab and make the pour now. Yes, that is a black body, no equivocation, with an active skim of mahogany brown foam. I smell vanilla, chocolate and grain, nice. I take a drink, yes, this is good, really good. Bittersweet chocolate, multigrain bread, red fruit, vanilla, molasses and hard candy. More sweet than bitter but they combo up well. Easily the best imperial stout I have tasted in a long time.
