UPDATED: SEP 16, 2020 (Bottle) Dark brown colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, treacle-toffee and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, dried fruit, raisins, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, dark bread and a balanced coffee bitterness in the finish. Full body, sweet. Great balance, hides the 9% quite well. Black coffee with chocolate chip cookies. Great beer!

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2020 Robe brun sombre, reflets rubis. Mousse beige, tenue un peu faible. Dépôt. Arômes café fumé réglisse cacao rôti boisé. Goût sucré marqué, amertume faible, légère pointe pimentée. Texture légèrement crémeuse. Carbonatation très fine, un peu faible. Se boit bien.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2020 Bottle. Very brown with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet coffee. Taste is also like sweet coffee. Tasty.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2020 Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 30A/13B). Bottle 35.5 cl - Batch unknown (BBF unknown - Bottled on 12.01.17). AROMA: medium-high coffee aroma followed by a medium-low to low caramel and toffee-like malt presence. APPEARANCE: dark reddish amber color and slightly hazy. medium light brown head, creamy, with medium-low retention. TASTE: initial medium-high coffee flavor, followed by subtle toffee-like malt notes. medium bitterness with an almost dry and coffee finish. PALATE: medium body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: the aroma and taste of coffee is a bit unbalanced with the malt character, maybe from the extended bottle conditioning (sample from 2017).

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2019 Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark brown with light brown foam, fine. Aroma is rich in coffee, chocolate, molasses & caramel. Body is thick, spicy, with average carbonation. Taste is medium-high sweet, with quite a spicy feeling. Final is fairly long and sweet.
