UPDATED: NOV 3, 2023 Bottle shared with my brother. Quite a nice barley wine, lots of prune and figs, very smooth, some herbal hops notes. Good, classic barley wine.

Aroma of toffee, biscuit, fruits, butterscotch. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Quite full bodied, slightly sticky, soft carbonation. Enjoyable. 9383-15.38

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2022 Tap @ Coalhouse Pizza, Stamford, CT, USA. Brown colour with a thin white head. Aroma is malt, dried fruits, slightly boozy. Taste is malt, caramel, figs, boozy. Full body, soft carbonation.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2021 Bottle from Total Wine in Orlando, FL. Aroma is caramel, fig, prune, mild booze. Taste is creamy toffee, boozy figs, tobacco. Very creamy caramel but also sharp booze...somehow, simultaneously over-the-top and drinkable.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2020 12oz bottle. Pours a slightly reddish amber with a small beige head. Aroma is caramel, cherry, raisin, bread, some fig, and some earth. Taste is caramel, brown sugar, toffee, fruit cake, spice, some fig, some nuts, some wood, faint leather, a little cocoa, and some cherry [6.5/10]. Earth, spice, and a little bread in the finish. Moderately boozy. Medium body. Fine, not-quite-medium carbonation. Oily-slick mouthfeel.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2020 Aussehen: trübes Dunkleres braun, leicht carbonisiert, krone verschwindet sofort. Aroma: Beeren, erinnert stark an glühwein (nelken, zimt, alkohol) Antrunk: sauer, Midtrunk: sauer, süßlich (beeren), alkohol Nachtrunk: röstaromen, karamell, vollbrot Minimal öliges mindgefühl Fazit: voll starker körper begleitet von 11,1% und eine reichhaltige Geschmacksnote die von sauer über süß zu röst reicht. Sehr interessant. Es könnte etwas feiner abgestimmt sein. Muss definitiv genossen werden, sonst macht es kopfschmerzen

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2020 Bottle. Clear, dark golden to red-amber body with almost no head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dry fruit, raisons and warming alcohol. Taste is quite sweet with malt, dry fruit and quite much alcohol. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Nice sipper, but a bit boozy after a while.
