Our “East Coast” version of a West Coast-style IPA. Intense hop flavors and aromas of tropical and citrus fruits and pine dominate. A subtle malt sweetness brings the beer into balance.

Eructoblaster (8469) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 28, 2023
UPDATED: OCT 28, 2023 On tap at Al's of Hampden (Enola, PA). Hazy golden body with an off-white, average, slowly fading, creamy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with fruity hints. Its sharp, well balanced, hoppy taste carries malty, grainy, and piney notes. Ends with a dry, sharp, bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Silphium (4265) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - SEP 7, 2023
UPDATED: SEP 7, 2023 Slightly hazy straw-orange-brown body, huge dense puffy cream head. Aroma and body nutty, perfumy, and soft with light toast, nuts, and caramel balanced with floral, peppery hops. A touch of dough, too. I've tried other beers with similar elements but the balance, mouthfeel, and execution here is stellar and this lived up to expectations.

UriahHeep (391) - Georgia, USA - AUG 17, 2023
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2023 1 pint 0.9 fl. oz. bottle from Jax. Pour is an opaque copper with a fluffy, white head and modest carbonation visible. The bottle states to drink within 90 days for optimal freshness. I am drinking it an extra 2 months beyond that, which I didn’t realize at the time of purchase. Will it make a difference? Aroma is fruity and pungent. Fresh citrus, passion fruit and grapefruit come to mind. Tropical fruit, pine, resin and rind. Flavor delivers the powerful, smashable and thirst-quenching IPA attributes you would expect. The caramel malt remains firm as waves of rind and resin hops wash over the palate. The beer is full-bodied, slightly sticky and has a welcome bittersweet aftertaste. Nectarine and honey sweetness. It places great emphasis on being clean, crisp and refreshing with no frills or adjuncts. It left intricate lacing on the glass, notching every gulp. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so much lacing on my empty glass - seriously, test it out for yourself. Lunch is an excellent IPA in terms of freshness, hop selection and hop quantity. This is what you want when you are looking for an IPA to hit the spot. It’s Dogfish Head 90 Minute minus 1.5% alcohol by volume. Lunch is a quality IPA polished to a mirror sheen. At 7%, it’s on the borderline of a DIPA. But I consider it more in line with a single, traditional IPA. By the time my pint glass was empty, I had a decent buzz going. It’s an excellent beer with no frills that under-promises and over-delivers on flavor. You owe it to yourself as a beer lover to go and drink one for yourself.

BlackHaddock (15545) - The County Time Forgot, Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2023
UPDATED: JUL 21, 2023 On tap in Barrel Republic, Carlsbad on 19th July 2023. Light haze to the golden pour, white crust. Citrus front to the aroma and taste, mild malty base for balance, nice 'rare' Maine rate for me.
