Hazy amber colour with a medium fine pored white head, nose is yeasty, fruity and citric with notes of white grapes, elderflower, passion fruit, gooseberry and banana and slightly lactic hints, taste is slightly sweet, fruity and tart with a tart, almost funky finish, a full body and a high carbonation.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2022 Time to drink this bottle, best before 04/22. Opening it two days ago, at home, Epalinges, after a day of work, relax and sharing it with my wife. The body is brown, copper and clear, less carbonated than usual, white foam. This beer is really sweet, fruity, aroma of toffee, plum and vanilla, malty, so smooth, not so boozy, regarding the degree of alcool, hidden hop, not so bitter, original one for a German beer, bottle comimg from beer lovers, Vienna.

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2022 37.5cl bottle 2017 version thanks to @dunklermessias. Pours clear mahagony until yeast residue turns it murky. Quickly disappearing head. Aroma has strong raisins, ripe fruits and sweet bread syrup. Taste is clean and fresh with ripe fruits, traditional banana/clove of weizen is almost unnoticiable. Very nice!

nathanvc (5934) - Gent, BELGIUM - JUN 8, 2020
UPDATED: JUN 8, 2020 Bottle from Geers. 2017 edition. Pours hazy orange with a slowly diminishing, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of dried orange & banana, apple peel, ripe gooseberry, old hops, white wine, caramel, brioche, pear, fig, slightly oxidized. Taste is a sweet estery profile of orange, banana & apple combined with sourish accents of citrus zest, gooseberry & wheat, oxidized impression in the back; bitter spices & white grapes in the middle, all the while supported by brioche-like maltiness & an early woody sign. Dryish, herbal & earthy hoppy finish, hint of dried fruits, dried banana, wheat, wood & warming white wine-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Extremely elegant Wheat Ale with balanced wine & typically German elements, the perfect 'dinner' beer. Silent masterpiece for me.

bartholos (349) - GERMANY - APR 13, 2020
UPDATED: APR 13, 2020 Bottle. Full orange colored, opaque with full white frothy head. Nose is fruity and wheaty, some banana and spices, the grape like aroma stays in the back. Taste has light sweetish basis but is mostly medium bitter and dry with a light sourness. Body is not as thick as one would expect yet delivers the foundation for complexit, carbonation is medium providing a light crisp and refreshing mouthfeel. This directly plays into the flavor that looses wheat notes yet gains in fresh fruity notes of white grapes and champagne. This grape like flavor is not overwhelming, however, but just right and embodied in a bit more heavy wheaty tones. Complex while well balanced and gives quite the distinctiveness without being exhaustingly flavorful. Leaves a medium bitter and sour aftertaste with light remaining notes of white grapes.
