UPDATED: APR 29, 2022 Enjoyed this back at the original release and then whenever Stone randomly parades it around. Still a confused beverage with every part being too much, which somehow works. Worthy of its own style, but could use a bit of refinement.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2020 Bomber from Buckeyeboy. Mahogany pour, cloudy, small bubbly head. Cinnamon stiil there, chilies only present as a light tingle at the finish. Belgian notes? Not finding them. Comes off more as a Barleywine or old ale. Elements of leather, tobacco, malts, woody. Not much heat. But still a pretty good quaff. Has aged well.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2019 This is a backlog rating from 2011 from a bottle, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time. Words to describe this beer are sweet, some peppery spice, caramel, bready, mold Belgian character.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2019 Pours orange amber with a small white wisp. Aroma is light chilies, rich malt, slight raisin. Taste is nice chilies although no heat which is fantastic! Raisin, fig and sweet caramel malt. I shouldn't have waited so long.

Jabah (2555) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - MAR 15, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2019 A deceiving brew. The rating is weighed down a couple points by the lack of appearance and smell. Looks clear in the bottle and pour, but has some malty/chocolate flavors there. Toffee, banana, cinnamon, and chili which adds some slight heat. Complex flavors with a lighter feel....especially for 9.4%. My buddy brought this camping for a taste testing because he had 2 bottles, so I am glad that I still have mine that I was aging. I'm sure I'll be popping that open soon.

TEJA (5775) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 19, 2019
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2019 Bottle sampled at Peter Högström domesday sampling. No head and dark amber color. Mild chili aroma with a balanced caramell aroma. Sweet malty taste with a touch of chili heat and a medium bitterness.

660ml Bottle - Copper red in colour. Spicy and fruity aroma with notes of dried fruit and berries. Spicy and fairly sweet taste with raisins, cinnamon, caramel and blackcurrant. Not getting much of the chillies now.

chinchill (6216) - South Carolina, USA - APR 30, 2018
22 oz bottle, aged about 5 years in a dedicated beer cooler. Appearance: Pours a deep ruby-copper color with a modest size, bone colored head that is semi-durable and leaves only a few spots of lacing. Aroma: Moderately strong with Fruity with hints of white wine and green apples. Flavor: Dark dried fruits and bready malts with toffee, caramel, and faint pepper. Very light heat, as much from the alcohol as chilies, I suspect. Moderately sweet: the level of sweetness works well with the other flavors. High complexity with excellent harmony and good balance. Mouthfeel: Smooth with light carbonation. Medium-full body. Overall- A very good Belgian style ale. Lightly spicy and fruity, with a solid malt base that blends nicely with sweet notes of caramel and brown sugar. The high ABV [9.4%] is well hidden excepting some internal warming.
