UPDATED: MAR 4, 2023 Copenhagen 4/ 2023. 37,5 cl bottle from Craft Makers Collective web-shop. Red label with the name and style of the beer in white. Straight forward. Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Stable. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a pronounced scent of black coffee. Dark roasted malts. Espresso coffee. Salty licorice. Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed and balanced by an almost matching bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy streak. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry. A potent Goliat who has not run into his David yet.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2022 From the Bottle at Chris O's Pre-GBBF Shindig 10/08/2013 Hoppy aroma. Black a little rich on the palate and strong in alcohol with some fruit flavour. Dry and very bitter in the finish.

Oily palate, confidently sweet (perhaps too sweet) with a modest coffee presence, good bourbon, some sweet dark chocolate and bubbling stewed dark fruits. Overall, feels very light bodied for almost 14% and just too sweet to be palatable.
