The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2023 Copenhagen 4/ 2023. 37,5 cl bottle from Craft Makers Collective web-shop. Red label with the name and style of the beer in white. Straight forward. Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Stable. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a pronounced scent of black coffee. Dark roasted malts. Espresso coffee. Salty licorice. Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed and balanced by an almost matching bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy streak. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry. A potent Goliat who has not run into his David yet.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2022 375ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, April 22. Thanks Mike for this one. Pours very dark brown, tan head. Aroma of strong coffee and bourbon. Oily palate, confidently sweet (perhaps too sweet) with a modest coffee presence, good bourbon, some sweet dark chocolate and bubbling stewed dark fruits. Overall, feels very light bodied for almost 14% and just too sweet to be palatable.
