UPDATED: SEP 15, 2023 Had last night with friends. Pours a dark brown color with basically no head. The aroma is sweet and boozy. Mouthfeel and body are both medium. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, alcohol, and slight coffee. It is sweeter than most Imperials and I think I detected some brown sugar or possibly molasses. Can from Total Wine & More about 6 months ago.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2023 Can from Systembolaget. Dark malty roasted smell. Similar taste. Alcoholic warmth. Drinka ble but boozy.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2023 Can, medium stable thick brown head, opaque pitch black colour, roasted notes, umami, roasted coffee, dark chocolate and chocolate cake, a bit of brown sugar in the back, smooth with just a little alcohol, balanced light light bitterness, sweetness and sourness. Really nice and enjoyable.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2023 Had to have this on a Sunday. Poured from a 16-oz can to a small head with big aroma of plums, sugar, black licorice and rum (yeah, I'm not sure where that last scent came from either). Taste and finish is all sweetness with just a hint of dark chocolate bitterness on the end. Pretty delicious. Good as a share (two way worked out fine).

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2022 Chocolate and coffee aroma. Gets bolder as the temperature increases. Jet black appearance with little head and heavy lacing. Very nuanced flavor for an imperial stout. Chocolate hits first, then some hints of fruitiness, brown sugar latte finishes. Not overly boozy at first, but lingers after. Really fantastic beer that is notably different than others of same type

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2022 Black pour, small tan head, full bodied. Character of fudge, mocha, peanut butter with some raisin in the flavor.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2022 Coffee and chocolate aromas. Strong, almost burnt, bitterness on palette with a slightly sweet finish. Alcohol apparent but not overly dominant. Full bodied, slightly oily. Good, but a bit too bitter.

Overrated. It doesn't have a flavor leap out. No coffee, chocolate or anything else. It's not bad. But it's so heavy for a stout without much flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2022 Aroma: sweet chocolate, pralines, sweet nougat. Taste: chocolate, pralines, nougat. Full bodied, moderate carbonation, moderate bitterness. Rich, complex, oily texture.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2022 Can at BBT 2/2022. Rather full body, med-high carbonation. Lots of chocolate, moderate coffee, med-light toffee. Med-high bitterness, medium warming alcohol. Could use a bit more complexity, it is well balanced, but leaves me wanting slightly more. Very good.
