A lot more so than there 420 extra pale. Taste has the same hop floral in beginning in front of not enough malt depth. Finish is hoppy and dry. Needs more malt depth. cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 17, 2009 "Looks stunning once poured into my pint glass. Burnt copper body with a lasting 1" thick head and blanketing lacing. Soft and medium bodied, not very bitter and it has a good malt content. Intriguing hop aroma, seems to favor apricot, orange and mango and there is a very faint cattiness. Honey and toast also come out over time. Flavor follows in line with the aroma only I got some subtle tastes of spruce and toffee. More akin to a great American Pale Ale, didn’t seem hoppy enough to be an IPA. Either way I thoroughly enjoyed the unique aroma and flavor profile. corby112 (782), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 16, 2009 Pours a pale golden orange amber color with pale golden yellowish orange hues when held to a light source and a 1.5 finger frothy off-white head.
Sweet citrus hop aroma with a subtle malt backbone and pine presence. Lots of grapefruit and lemon and orange peel along with some mango and pineapple. This beer is bursting with fresh floral hops and I’m picking up all kinds of complex aromas. Subtle biscuit/graham cracker malt laying underneath as well as some faint pine.
Slightly chewy, resinous medium body with a lot of delicious fresh floral hoppy goodness. Lots of sweet citrus flavor, especially lemon and orange peel, mango, pineapple and grapefruit. The perfect amount of dry piny bitterness balanced out by a subtle biscuit/ graham cracker malt backbone. The ABV is excellently masked making this beer dangerously quaffable. I love this beer and wish I had constant access to fresh bottles of it.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a deep orangey gold with a medium-thin white head that leaves light spots of lace on the glass. Hoppy aroma - light flowery aroma with deep bitter citrus. Light, dry bready malt aroma in there, too. The flavor starts hoppy tangy with a pleasant malt quality that is both malty and bready but also dry and hoppy. The beer gets a strong spicy citrusy bitterness at mid-palate. The finish is long, hoppy, and bitter. The mouthfeel is medium in body and rather lavishly carbonated - which gives a subtle tickle/sting to the tongue and accentuates the bitter finish. Overall, a pleasant and very drinkable IPA - dry and bitter like a good American IPA should be. SHIG (2051), Aviano, Italy

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 25, 2009 12oz bottle. Great nose of C-hops and pine. Taste much of the same but much lighter. Strong grapefruit and other citrus. Thin body and no much malt, which I like. Good IPA glkaiser (1182), Seattle, Washington, USA
