COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
European export style Lager. Well balanced for great drinkability. Because Marquette has significantly more malt backbone, finishing hops give exceptional aroma and taste.
UPDATED: JUL 26, 2003 Labeled as "Marquette Pilsner" if you find it in the bottle, like I did. Classic golden color with a creamy white head. Smell of baking bread. Tastes a little like it too. Very smooth and easy to drink. An enjoyable beer. Rerate: Brought the rest of the 6-pack to share with friends. They pointed out the taste I never quite picked out. Butter. Quite a strong butter flavor actually, don't know how I missed it the first time. Didn't enjoy this beer as much the next couple bottles I had, and lowered the rating accordingly.

Tasted at the Wisconsin State Fair, this beer combines a fresh clean taste with a nice hop aroma. It's well balanced with great drinkability.

JPDIPSO (6618) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 19, 2002
Golden/amber color with a small off white head. Stale perfume aroma. Dry oaken malt flavors. Quite short in the hops, with only a touch of bittnerness. Not bad, but not much of a pils.
