Draught at the brewpub. Weak caramelly aroma. Almost black colour. Nice stable light brown head. Good roasted flavour. A hint of roasted barley. Some caramel. Quite subtle, but good. The mouthfeel is slightly thin, but that is OK for the style, I think. A Schwarzbier in my book.

[bottle] Apple, ethanol, and nuts in the aroma. Murky brown-black with a tan ring. Nice, toasty-roasty biscuit flavour with good hops bitterness that makes it crisp and clean. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, bitter lasts for a bit.
