UPDATED: MAY 17, 2022 From the Bottle 15/08/2013 Big coffee aroma. Dark coloured rich on the palate hoppy and fruity with a hint of dryness in a crisp and bitter coffee and malt finish.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2021 This is a backlog rating from 2014 from a bottle shared by a friend, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are roasted malts, black coffee, chocolate, good.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2019 Muted coffee aroma, dark brown pour with a light brown head. Tastes like real espresso but less bitter. Nice soft finish. This is good.

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2019 Bottle: Black with a dark tan head. Coffee, chocolate aroma. Flavour is bitter black coffee malt, dark chocolate. A pleasant charred bitterness. Felt the body to be a bit thin, but pretty satisfying, overall.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2018 12 oz bottle from beer of month club. Pours a dark brown, with a brown head that leaves a decent amount of lace. Dry coffee, bit of alcohol heat. Okay mouthfeel. Decent, not great.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2018 Black coffee, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Black with large brown head. Mildly sweet coffee, chocolate malt, and moderately strong bitter/astringent fresh hay flavor. Good body. Nice - pretty hoppy.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2018 Bottle from beer of month club. Pours black and thick head that leaves some froth. Nose is malt and cocoa and smoky coffee. Body follows with some coffee and burnt Malt fullness. Decent.

This is a coffee flavored chocolate stout that hides its alcohol level very well. It is a nice beer. Not as strong as other coffee flavored stouts but still well done. Some milk is also noticeable in the background. Overall a good beer.

12 ounce bottle. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Taste is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and some vanilla. Pretty good.

Poured from bottle thanks Airforcehops 10/27/16 black cola with a thin tan head. Aromas of espresso grain milk chocolate. Taste is mildly thin and follows flavor.
