Jyrsa (1677) - - JAN 18, 2019
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2019 Bottle. Medium brown with light tan head. Smoke, dark wintery fruit, licorice, hint of rye. Smoky rye, strong licorice. A bit tart with smoky finish. Surprisingly interesting but unfortunately has the 'house taste' of StaPa, which may not be good for this beer.

Bottle. Reddish-bronze color, yellowish foam. Aroma: esters, slightly smoked, peat, caramel, dried fruits. Taste: smoked, a little peat, fruity, dried fruits, wine, not bad.

Bottle@summer cottage, from Alko Sastamala, Finland. Medium, sweetish nuances of slightly roasted malts and rye, dry licorice, some tar, a hint of dark fruits. Averagely balanced. Medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with a hint of tar and malts. Medium body with medium/light carbonation. Overall, somewhat sturdy but a bit artificial.

Bottle, courtesy of Summer Santa jappp. Pours darkest brown. Aroma is liquorice, dark dried fruit, tree bark. Body is medium, mostly liquorice, strongly bitter, also salty. Thin body, more salmiakki. Quite extreme, and unfortunately not to my taste.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with low tanned head. Aroma is mocca, roasted malts, smoke, wood? Like eating chocolate while camping. Taste is sweet, malty, tar, mocca, smoke.

rostetti (385) - Oulu, FINLAND - AUG 29, 2016
Bottle from Alko. Aroma and taste of roasted malt and some rye, nothing much. Where is smokiness? Watery, and disappointing beer. It tastes good, but I was expecting more flavors, like chocolate and coffee, but they are not here. I can’t believe it really has 6,5%.

Bottle. Pours murky dark brown with small beige head. Clear aroma of malt and hops, with estery notes. Clear aroma of roast, with notes of malt and hops and east and touches of grass. Lingering, bitterish and acidic aftertaste. Secent.

Nearly black, small light beige head. Fruity aroma, notes of smoke. Flavour is roasted with some hoppy bitterness, sweet coffee and rye perhaps.
