COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed especially for the Shelton Brothers “The Festival” 2013 in Portland, ME. Limited kegs and 75cl bottles productions. Not to be confused with the regular XX Bitter. XXX-Bitter is a variation on the existing XX-Bitter, where we add an additional 50% more hops. Taste: Full-bodied bitter beer. Despite its higher IBU-value, the large amount of aroma-hops makes this beer taste smoother than XX. Bottle conditioned. Ingredients: Water, barley malt, sugar, hops (Brewers Gold, Hallertau Mittelfrüh), yeast.

jamestulloch (8614) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 5, 2023
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2023 Bottle from Against The Grain. Hazy deep golden body with a few flecks floating beneath a white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dried grass and oak. Flavour of salted lemon and funk with a big, bitter finish. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Sharp and bitter.

colui72 (4897) - Sassari, ITALY - NOV 15, 2023
UPDATED: NOV 15, 2023 A variariation of the regular XX bitter, but with 50% extra hops (Brewers Gold, Hallertau Mittelfrüh)! On the nose, white bread, floral hops, notes of pear and stone fruits. Hazy golden pour, frothy head, large and with a very high retention, and its cloudy laces. Its bitterness is growing, from moderate on the attack to high in the the after taste, bready malts and hop-driven body, with floral notes and growing bitterness. Yeasty esters of pear and yellow fruits. Light body, high carbonation, easy to drink. A lovely drop, easy to drink before or during a meal, light and refreshing bitter goodness.

floydian1 (1985) - FNQ, Australia, - SEP 30, 2023
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2023 750ml bottle from Purvis Beer, Melbourne. A large rocky fluffy head crowns a clear golden body. Herbal grassy notes on the nose and tongue, dry bitter finish, not unlike a Duvel. Quite gassy on the palate, medium-full bodied. Pretty good all round.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2023 Sample tap. Cloudy orange yellow with a creamy head. Vanilla, grapefruit, mango, wheat, resin, coriander, herbs, Belgian yeast. Dry zesty hoppy bitterness, some fruity sweetness. Medium to full bodied, oily, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry zesty hoppy bitter finish. Very crisp hoppy Belgian Pale, not very different to the XX Bitter though, maybe more hop bitterness.

JoeMcPhee (12091) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - APR 10, 2023
UPDATED: APR 10, 2023 Beautiful golden pour with a thick pillowy white head. Very floral/spicy hop aroma. Fragrant and hoppy and well-integrated with a lovely base spicy yeast. Fresh and very fragrant. Clean but assertive bitterness. Really damn lovely.

Piepenhenrich (3428) - Oberursel, GERMANY - MAR 24, 2023
UPDATED: MAR 24, 2023 Golden, slightly hazy, with a white head that dilapidates quickly. Hoppy aroma and taste. However, as the name suggests, taste is mainly bitter, on a decent level. Bitter palate lasts for a while.

deyholla (21617) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 25, 2023
UPDATED: FEB 25, 2023 Bottle shared by Levi, thanks! Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has grass and a bit of pine with some Belgian yeast and a straw backbone. Flavor has lots of grass and hay with a hint of pine and light grain supporting.
