vtafro (7453) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - APR 18, 2010Draft @ princeton triumph. Dark brown pour with a little tan head. Smells like I’m sniffing rye bread, flavor follows. Initially I wasn’t sure what to think, but its a great rye beer, what i put any other up to.
Rciesla (5497) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - DEC 18, 2009Draft. Pours a brune body with an off white head. Rye seeds, malt, and some spicy fruit. Light bitter earth finish and a light spiced warming. This was nice.
arjoseph (642) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 3, 2009GABF 2007. This smelled and tasted of straight up caraway seed, like it was concentrated and liquified. It’s not bad, but I’d like some more balance of flavors (like some more characteristic maltiness, although there is some chocolate lurking underneath). Don’t really know what to make of this.
MikeRa (14) - Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 16, 2008A very nice tasting beer. It has a aroma and flavor of a rustic black rye bread. Sampled it at the Philadelphia location on 2/21/2008
