DeltaFoxtrot (30) - , Florida, USA - JAN 21, 2014
Sat on this for a long time and opened it for new year’s among some friends during a great bottle share. 2009 ~ Holding up very well. If cellared correctly it’s a prime example of the style and what a bit of age can do for it. Huge pillowy white head with a mildly funky nose. Taste was lemon, wheat and light tartness that lingered. Much more flavor than expected. One of those bottles where I wish I had access to more.

andersand (531) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JUN 6, 2012
Hazy pale yellow. Rather lame and lime-like aroma with mild yeast and acidity. Watery but still quite refreshing mild taste without anything really popping. Dry semi tart ending with too clean yeast notes and too mild, unfresh acidity struggling too make an impression but never really getting there..

50belair (4483) - Florida, USA - MAR 13, 2012
Bottle number 4 of 150 (2009 batch) along side 2011 batch generously shared by Maltzilla at the pre-Huny tasting. Clear pale yellow pour. Sour aromas. Both were tart and sour with lots of layers. I think the consensus was the nose was better on the ’11 vintage, but the ’09 tasted better.

crosamich (474) - Twin Falls, Idaho, USA - MAR 12, 2012
Tried the 2009 and 2011 next to each other. The 09 had a strange rotten vegetable aroma but the flavor was clean and overall the beer was still a winner as those aromatics were missing in the mouth. The latest batch was clean, tart, and refreshing. Quite good.

Doodler (333) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 6, 2011
Bottle shared at Jasons. Poured a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aromas are wheat and lemon, with a bit of barnyard funk. Taste is lemon and orange citrus zest upfront, with some earthy minerality and a bready finish. Decent carbonation and nice palate cleanser. Berliner Bier schmeckt gut.

DutchDrebus (6996) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - SEP 13, 2011
Bottle 44. Looks like unclear urine, no head. Smells like urine after eating asperagus. Bit dusty also. Tastes sour, fruity, fresh - but with a weird after taste. Light body.

3.3
Ratman197 (24618) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 6, 2011
Bomber poured a clear gold with a small lasting white head. Aromas of graininess, yeast, straw and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of graininess, yeast, lemon and light straw with a crisp dry lightly tart finish.

zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 15, 2011
bottle shared at 5k tasting - Hazy, yellow white. Aroma is bretty, barnyard funk with a bit of bile. Taste is light and fruity, with a punchy sourness. Tart and tasty with an oaky finish.
