the_beergery (924) - - OCT 30, 2019UPDATED: OCT 30, 2019 375 ml bottle bought at a supermarket in Bangkok a couple of years back. Best before 02/2024 the label says, so I'm guessing it was bottled in 2014 after 4 months in oak barrels and then aged another 5 years in my fridge. Appearance is a dark, hazy amber brown, topped with a layer of off-white froth which does not persist for long. Aroma is oak, a bit of Brett, dried dark figs, and some caramel and toffee malts. Taste is mildly sweet, no hint of bitterness, nor any trace of the ABV, so smooth it is. Dried figs, oak, buttery caramel and toffee. Medium bodied. Delicious.
llucmaduell (519) - barcelona, SPAIN - JUL 2, 2018This beer found it rare. Especially for the way it is advertised. I have not found a Belgian strong dark ale. I found another thing. That's why I thought beer was not in good condition. That is why I will find and try again.
yoxik75 (1060) - Wroclaw, POLAND - APR 21, 2018Piana drobna powoli opada pięknie zdobiąc szkło. Kolor złoto, zmętnione. Aromat słodyowy, owoce w typie belgijskim, orzechy, słodki miodowy, przyjemny. Alkohol ukryty całkowicie, goryczka wyczuwalna pasująca, pije sie nadzwyczaj przyjemnie i szybko. Bardzo Dobre

fiulijn (28318) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 21, 2016UPDATED: OCT 25, 2016 Bottle from Liberty on Commercial, Vancouver
Amber color, opaque, with generous compact head. The aroma is mild, it has true Belgian yeast spiciness, and some oak, cork. Lean body, not sweet, too alcoholic, with traces of liquorice and wood, but no malt depth or yeast character; the final is moderately boozy.
Mediocre and overpriced beer.
Ferris (23108) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 21, 2016Bottle - Light stone fruit, oak and some buttery notes. Cloudy gold with a decent beige head. Soft and light buttered bread and oak.
