ClausMoeller (3) - Viby J, DENMARK - OCT 10, 2016 does not count THE best Stout I have ever had ;-)
As I know, stout might not be for everybody, I still find it just fantastic. For the past 25 years I have been drinking Guinness, and a Brains Black, if I have come across them, I have fallen for this brew of brews, wiht it’s black appearence and black, creamy taste, that will draw in all true Guinness-lovers, who know and remember the Guinness Export.
It presently holds 10% Vol., and comes in a 0,6l bottle, at Kr. 60,- tempered (16°- 20°)/ 70,- cold (4°- 6°) - about £6 tempered and £7 cold. Personaly I like my Monster at basement temp (12°C - 16°C).roasty,

DraftDodger (7600) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 8, 2016Copenhagen 8/5 2016. 60 cl bottle from Barley Wine. Big barrel on the label to signify that this is truly an Oak Aged Imperial Stout. Pours opaque dark brown with light beige head. Head disappears fairly fast leaving a paper thin island of foam floating around. Aroma is whisky-like where you can smell the oak barrel treatment. Sweet caramel, vanilla and coffee. And a healthy amount of alcohol. Soft carbonation and thick oily palate. Flavor is sweet and a little bit boozy. Medium coffee bitterness in the aftertaste which is suprisingly short. Quite a mouthful. But a nice one.
IpaPils (10449) - Sørumsand, NORWAY - MAR 6, 2016Svart med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lite lukt. Kakaopulver og noe mørke bær. Middels fylde. Smaker alkohol, kakaopulver også i smak, noe trevirke. Lett salt og alkohol i avslutningen.

ken1 (5298) - Aarhus, DENMARK - NOV 2, 2015Aroma: Roasted coffee and sweet.
Flavour: Very roasted malt with coffee and fruit. Fairly alcoholic mouthfeel.
Colour: Black with a light brown head.

Lucan (7) - Wrocław, POLAND - APR 28, 2015 does not count Alcohol is hided well, as the beer was matured in oak barrel. In the aroma you could find less then expected. There are aromas of malts and something burned, like a burned wood. In taste you could find cocoa seeds and sweetness well balanced by bitterness. Sweetness stays a little for too long. Bitterness is very odd, like from burning. Maybe burned bread skin.
Color is very nice - black with cherry reflects.
Overall it is very good beer but there are some better.
