UPDATED: MAR 1, 2020 Keg at Rubicon Brewery, Sacramento, CA on 28/05/2008. A really, really good amber. Not usually a standout style for me, but this was among the best I had in the US. Great malt profile, and complimentary hop bitterness.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - Amber pour with white head. Sweet malty and fruity with some caramel and toffee sweetness, some herbal slight twiggy hoppy nuances into the finish. Okish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a thin head on a hazy amber colored body. The aroma is grainy and malty. Like a bag of wet barley. The taste is lots of barley, grain with mild lemon bitterness. Great use of the malt side. The texture is softer with moderate carbonation. Here’s an amber ale that’s malt forward. A nice exception to the currently popular bold hoppy amber ales.
