COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

6.3%ABV. IPA. Tapped out a slightly cloudy golden yellow, 6ºSRM. Nose has a pronounced waxy aroma, then a little like a nicely aged Roquefort or Leicester. There are some nice orange-like flavors, but eclipsed by that waxy blue-cheese aroma. The are some straight up rice, rice paper, rice starch like aromas. Ok, so I haven’t read the commercial deScription before writing this review, but I’m almost certain now that I’ve identified the source of the confusion, this is a wheat-based IPA-type brew. Almost like a hoppy witbier. That staunch waxy flavor perssists in the palate which is wierd, but in a good friendly slap across the face way. It borders on being synthetic or plastic like. Aggressive cabonation. Bitter hops that are resinous and thick without much herbal or floral character. The finish is hoppy but without much character. The palate and the finish leavel little doubt that quality ingredients were involved in the making of this very fine ale Interesting and well-appreciated. Just not list material...today at least. Will definitely come back to it.

Keg at the Cellar; clear golden amber pour with a frothy white head, aroma has mellow citrus, with some light pine along with some creamy wheat beer characters, taste has a hint of banana, bubblegum, light tropics, mango a hint of papaya.
