Watch out for the giant mutant vine monsters, ready to wrap their spiney tentacles around your throat. They will commandeer your palate like a jungle of triffids. This is hop warfare on your tongue. It is seductive, contagious and hard to resist. Lash out now. "There is no sense in getting killed by a plant."

500ml bottle pours a pale brown color with a bit of head. Intense hop bitterness. Very resins. Smooth viscous malt.

Bottle at Kanuka Ridge Hostel. Pours a clear light amber with a medium off-white head. Sweet and bitter with loads of hoppy aromas. Mostly spruce and citrus fruits. Also notes of caramel malts and alcohol. Seems quite strong. Medium to full bodied. Medium carbonation. Quite bitter finish with more spruce.

500ml bottle (BB 16/3/17). An assertive DIPA with plenty of lip smacking fresh green piney/stone fruit/orangey citrus hops on the nose and palate. A massive palate wrecking resinous dry hop bitterness lingers long after each mouthful. A bit of biscuit base in there but this is really one for the hopheads. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

drjoeng (2423) - SINGAPORE - OCT 20, 2016
9%ABV. Imperial IPA. Poured out deep amber. 12ºSRM. Nose has ripe lychees, overrripe oranges and pineapple. Nice orange peel freshness in the nose as well with sweet orange-y and juicy aromas. If you nose it near the bottom of the glass it has a beautiful rich malt funk, like malted milkshake residues. Mouthfeel is thick soapy and almost syrupy. Palate is malty with barley bread, toasted barley grains, malt sugar and the sweet right on the end has a candy, taffy like lightness. Hops are aromatic with a perfumy overtones, there is a thick resinous backbone with nice grassy, raw vine leaves, oleander sap, pine needles. Faint chives near the end. Finish is alcoholic with a nice burn at the back of the throat. Hop finish is long with a thick resinous, soapy, sappy bitter lingering at the back of the tongue and palate. Overall, this was a very well-balanced hefty imperial IPA, maybe hop-forward, but on a solid grain-bill, and you taste it. Goes on Favorites List!

Dank and clean, very rich. Big body, but not overtly syrupy with big citrus, tropical fruit and pine notes. Dry, long finish. Perhaps a little too straight forward, but a great hop monster.

jmgreenuk (19546) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - OCT 7, 2016
Bottle at Mikkeller Bangkok. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is sticky toffee, rich woody resin hop bitter. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a smooth rich oily woody hop, tropical fruit palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Superb... and I’m not normally a DIPA fan.

Hoponmate (309) - NEW ZEALAND - OCT 7, 2016
A real thick imperial IPA. Tons of fruit meats a lot of alcohol. Creates a quite syrupy finish that whilst enjoyable is slightly too over the top. Great but a little too much
