Pours very hazy dark amber-copper with frothy off white head. Long head retention, good lacing. Caramel, resins, earthy, herbal nose. Medium to full body, average carbonation, some crispy texture. Taste is quite bitter, still subtle caramel notes, then dry, herbal. Warming finish. Very enjoyable.

0.75l bottle. It’s quite a cloudy one this, deep dark bronze looking in the glass and it has a nice big quite lingering off-white head. When nearing the end of the bottle it’s leaving lots and lots of small grey sediments at the bottoms of the glass. On the aroma I get a strong really pleasant piney hop-fruitiness. Kinda sweetish in a lovely way. There’s hints of strawberries and spruces. Yeah, a really fine aroma. It has a thick and oily mouthfeel this and it’s nice comfortably prickling on the relatively soft carbonation level. Lots of flavor here! Really piney and birch woody. Undoubtedly a double IPA based on the high high quantity of hops here. It’s really bitter, yet in a strange way somewhat balanced. Spruces and some lemon zest. Not hard to identify the alcohol in this one either. Almost a little medicinal that bitterness and it’s definitely leaving my mouth quite dry-tounged. Some gin-like juniper berries towards the finish. Well, I still kinda liked this one, even if it’s perhaps a tad over the top and a full bottle on your own is perhaps a bit too optimistic. DWF; Bottle 750 ML. Pours moderate, hazy brown with a frothy, lasting and lacing light tan head. Nose is heavy, tropic fruity, pine, rasin, moderate malt and spice. Taste is moderate sweet and heavy bitter with a warming forever lasting bitter finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

From tap at CBC 2015. Hazy dark amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of hops, ruit, alcohol, spice, malt, caramel and bitterness.

Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Hazy dark amber - brown beer. Tidy cream colour head. Palate is viscous and smooth, good fine carbonation. Smooth sweetish malts, cream and caramel. The sweetness they provide is quickly subsumed by big hop bitterness, floral bitter with a alight metallic edge. Pine and suppressed strong fruits. Finishes smooth but with more massive hop bitterness. Robustly bitter bastard!

Tap. Mother Kelly’s, Bethnal Green. Massive bosh of solvent hops. Thick pine. Chewy palate. Slick, and oily. The legal version of glue sniffing. In the woods across the road. Which, I imagine, is slightly less harmful than swilling this fucker. Silly easy drinking. Pass me a carrier bag...

Draught at KØ15. Alcoholic and vinous aroma. Cloudy light brown colour. Small frothy off-white head. The flavour starts off quite bitter. Turns quite malty with a hint of vanilla and a vinous touch. The bitterness hides most of the other flavours.

Bottle, KØ15. Pours cloudy dark amber wit airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, fruit and hops, with notes of needles. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of needles and malt and touches of citrus and oak. Bitterish aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Decent.

On tap at CphBF15. Pours a clear brown with a small off-white head. Quite bitter with a light sweetness. Aromas of bitter hops: ) also notes of licorice and bourbon. Medium to full bodied. Soft carbonation. Long bitter finish.

Bottle. It pours mostly clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma is called amel malty, ripe berries and crackers. Deep malty flavor with crackers, barley and some toasted notes. Hoppy finish. Really tasty.
