Commercial Description:
A delicious deep gold concoction made using only the finest European malts, hops, and Belgian candy sugar. The name Trippel refers to the strength of alcohol (9.5%). It is brewed using a very unique triple decoction process & a length cold fermentation at lagering temperatures to produce this ale with a perfect balance of malt sweetness and hop assertiveness. Available Late December

Sweet cotton candi aroma, slightly spicy; sweet malty front end with s somewhat dry finish, some medicinal and band-aid notes, a bit detracting; nice balanced bitterness and highly alcoholic tinge; somewhat clean, however for a tripel; pretty nice

Amber pour with touches of red, a creamy head and lacing. Citrus hops, bubblegum, small hints of spice and grapefruit in the aroma. Coriander comes out a lot in the flavor, more bubblegum and grapefruit, some berries, and bitter hops. REally creamy and spicy palate, with a wonderfully bitter finish. Very nice example of a tripel.

Clear bronze, golden amber color with creamy/sticky head that dissipates quickly with sheets of lacing. The aroma is delicious for a tripel, light hop bite followed by a touch of sweetness from the candi sugar and notes of bubble gum & spice; ginger, coriander, citrus. Very clean. The alcohol is present and warm, but not harsh. The flavor is also well balanced with the malty/candi sweetness & hop bitterness from noble & pacifica hops. Light alcohol burn but very well hidden for the ABV. Light astringency in the finish, very dry. Overall this is a great Belgian, so great from a local brewer. Maybe a bit too much alcohol, but I'm not complaining and time can take care of that.
