Bottle. A reddish dark brown beer with a dense finger thick beige head. Roasted aroma with chocolate, coffee and piney, resiny hops. Some grapefruit. It’s full bodied and smooth on the palate, semi dry and with a nice carbonation level. Nice bitterness, both initially and in the finish. Chocolate, coffee and some toffee, with pine cones and grapefruit notes. Lasting finish. A pleasant one indeed. A bit roasted but sure nice. 160709

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, grass, licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light heavy bitter with a long duration, roasted, sweet malt, licorice, sweet licorice, hoppy, fruity - grapefruit, wood notes.
