Palme (5036) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 6, 2016On tap @ Taphouse. The barkeep struggled a bit with this one. Eventually it arrives at my table as a huge headed sticky thing. (he could at least have wiped it down a little bit before serving as much of it keeps ending up on the floor..) The beer itself is deep and dark brown and the massive head dark beige. Smells really nice. Chocolate-hops, coffee, roasted malts, brown sugar and biscuits. Nice. Tastes a little different from what I was expecting. Mild roasted but it’s actually quite sweet in a way. Thin oily in the mouth and pretty low on the carbonation. Thin chocolate wrapper in the finish. Cardboard in the tail. A different quite bitter and almost a little soapy bia. 01.02.2015
