Dark can with a fellow that looks like a cross between Alice Cooper and a undead version of Johnny Depp. Pours opaque dark brown with a big beige head. Stable. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing. Aroma is intense with a sugary sweetness with a touch of sweet spice mingling with bit of sweet liqueur. Whiff of dark bitter chocolate. Brown sugar, toffee and sweet vanilla. Light carbonation. Thick, oily, soft, slightly viscous, almost flat texture. Flavor is intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by an even stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet streak. Lingering. Finish is bitter and boozy. Sugary sweet nose and a bitter aftertaste.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2023 Can 44 cl. Thick, jet black pour with a tiny, brown head. Sweet vanilla aroma atop notes of dark chocolate. Rich, sweet body with plenty of vanlla and bitter dark chocolate with an underlying roasty bitterness. Lowish carbonation. Warming alcohol. 041123

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2023 Black engine oil with more or less no head. Good intensity in the aroma. Not to sweet for a beer like this and a fine mellow carbonation level. Quite easy to drink. Dark malt, coffee, chocolate and lot of licorice in the flavor [Bottle from Gundersen Travel]

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2023 Draught@CBC2016. Black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is sweet malts, some roasted tones, chocolate, vanilla and mild toffee tones. Flavour is roasted, some chocolaty, vanillaish and dark malty tones with some sweet alcohol as well.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2021 Bottle 0.33l, trade with Camons, thanks a lot! Vintage 2016. Black, opaque. AROMA- roasted malts, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, alcohol. FLAVOR- very smooth, slightly sweet, moderately bitter, touch of alcohol, roasted malts, dark chocolate, smooth coffee, bitter pralines. Fuller bodied. Great.
